Hello,
I have been wearing my set # 4 for a week now and it has been exactly the same as # 3, not feeling very tight, not difficult to take off etc..... I don't know whether I am just so used to them now or trays really do vary depending on which teeth are moving?
I am pleased to report I no longer use a rubber glove to take them off anymore and can whip them out pretty quickly with no issues. I am so used to them now that I forget I am wearing them. Its been 7 weeks now since I started treatment and the time has just flown by!
One thing to note during my previous set (tray # 3) is that 3 times I cut myself with them..... back inner cheek, inner lip and tongue!!!! Each of those times it was while inserting them back in, its quite easy for these trays to nip parts of your mouth, so I am a bit more careful putting them back in now :)
Still not really noticing any changes (except slight movement with my 2 front teeth which I noticed from tray # 3), so am really hoping to see some more noticable movement soon. I still keep comparing my 1st set with future trays (still sealed in their little plastic bags) and am always amazed at how my teeth will look at the end of treatment so that keeps me motivated.
Welcome to my own personal journey with Invisalign! I'm in my 30's and finally straightening my teeth. Happy reading :)

Tray # 3
Hello,
Changed to tray # 3 tonight, I was expecting tightness & pressure but only the top tray was tight and the pressure/tight feeling didn't last long at all? I don't know whether I am just used to it now or what if it isn't working!!???
Had a dentist appointment today and he asked me lots of questions about how I am finding them so far. He had a good look at my teeth with my trays in and then took them out and had a good look at just my teeth and said everything looks good. He then polished in between a couple of my bottom teeth and I asked him if that was the IPR and he said no, its similar but much milder. He said it was to help make a little extra room, it didn't hurt but I was a bit scared incase he polishes my gums? (I don't even know why it is called 'polishing' cos its not polishing at all!). I'm not looking forward to my official first lot of IPR at my next appointment (tray # 6 which is in 6 weeks time).
Nothing much more to report....... except I am not feeling so self conscious anymore brushing my teeth in public toilets! yay! I am no longer using the wheelchair access toilet at work anymore! Thats a BIG improvement for me!!!
I am also finding that I am PIGGING out at every meal as if it is my last meal EVER!!?? I really have to control that somehow because I feel sooooooo full that I feel I can't move!!?? Apart from that, everything is going smoothly!

Quick update while still on tray # 2
So, its day # 10 on tray # 2 and everything is going good. I am so used to the trays now that on a couple of occasions I have almost forgotten to take them out to eat!.... (almost)!
I am averaging wearing them a good 21 hours & 45 minutes, I can't seem to do exactly 22 hours cos otherwise it is just too rush rush! I average 30 minutes for breakfast, 45 minutes for lunch and an hour for dinner and that includes flossing/brushing my teeth & braces. I think thats pretty good but there have been several social occasions so far where I have had them out for an extra hour to be able to have a few wines and yummy finger foods! So that still means I am wearing them close to 21 hours a day and I think the minimum per day is like 20???
Anyway, I am finding these 2nd trays are staying much more cleaner than the 1st set and I am pretty sure it is cos I am not using my whitening toothpaste on them anymore (which scratches them) and am soaking them in white vinegar/water every morning.
Also just wanted to mention that I am regularly on facebook's invisalign page and find it really helpful and supportive with other people going through the same thing.
